Baku/26.04.21/Turan: Sources in the Shamkir region (about 400 km west of Baku) report the arrest of the head of the region and his deputies by the State Security Service.
In addition to the head of the district Alimpasha Mammadov, deputy head and head of the education department Gudrat Aliyev, chief architect Ilgar Guliyev, and representative of the Executive in the city of Shamkir Parviz Ibrahimov were detained, local sources told Turan.
It was not possible to get a comment from the State Security Service.
Judging by the positions of those arrested, we are talking about another series of crimes related to corruption.
"Serial" with arrests of corrupt officials in regions of the country has been going on since last year. During this period, five heads of the executive branch and their subordinates were arrested. -02D-
