Armenia Does Not Observe Humanitarian Ceasefire - Azerbaijani Defense Ministry
Baku / 18.10.20 / Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced that the Armenian side did not comply with the humanitarian truce announced from 00:00 on October 18. "Despite the announcement of a new humanitarian ceasefire from 00:00 on October 18, the Armenian armed forces once again grossly violated the agreement," the Ministry said in a press release.
During the night, the enemy fired from mortars and artillery at the environs of the city of Jabrayil, as well as the villages of this region, liberated from the occupation, located along the Araz River. There are no casualties among personnel. Units of the Azerbaijan Army took adequate retaliatory measures.
"The troops of the Azerbaijani army are taking appropriate actions at advantageous lines, important heights and positions along the entire length of the front," the press release said.
At the same time, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry notes in another message that on October 17, during the day before the announcement of a new humanitarian ceasefire, the operational situation in the Agdere and Fizuli-Hadrut directions of the front was relatively stable.
As a result of the actions taken by the Azerbaijan Army during yesterday, in various directions of the front, manpower, 2 missile guidance stations of the S-300 air defense system, 5 T-72 tanks, 3 BM-21 Grad MLRS, 2 MLRS Smerch, 1 howitzer-gun D-20, 1 anti-aircraft gun KS-19 and 6 units of enemy vehicles were destroyed.
Azerbaijani troops control the operational situation along the entire front, the press release said on October 18, 2020 at 12:00.
In turn, the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan reported that a local resident was wounded in the Agdam region on Saturday evening.
On October 17, 2020, at about 9 pm, as a result of intense rocket and heavy artillery shelling from different directions by the enemy's armed forces, a resident of the village of Mahryzly, Agdam region, born in 1981 Hasanov Ramil Kamal Oglu received various injuries as a result of a shell falling into the courtyard of his house .The house, in turn, was badly damaged, the report said. –06D-
