Armenia prefers destructive pre-war political rhetoric - NCSM
Baku/25.11.21/Turan: A meeting of the National Center for Strategic Thinking (NCST) on November 25, discussed the situation, problems and ways of solving them over the past year after the 2nd Karabakh war.
The victory of the Azerbaijani army in the 44-day Patriotic War is called a historical success and the high assessment of this victory is emphasized, the information disseminated by the Center.
At the same time, society has a negative attitude to the deployment of Russian military in Karabakh under the guise of peacekeepers. The report notes that there is no serious progress in the issues of concluding a peace treaty with Armenia, delimitation and demarcation of borders so far.
At the same time, it is emphasized that currently 3150 sq. km. are under the full control of the Russian military and Armenian armed formations, which means that the restoration of territorial integrity has not been fully completed.
It is also said that the authorities are silent on issues related to Khankendi and other occupied territories.
According to the report, because of the problems that the political regime in Azerbaijan faces in the international arena for a number of objective and subjective reasons, the threat of losing the victory won on the battlefield in the diplomatic war causes serious concern in the society.
"The Pashinyan government, which managed to partially eliminate the political crisis that arose after the bitter defeat in the war, receives the support of the international community on two issues - a complete end to the conflict and the status of Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh," the statement says.
The message especially emphasizes that recently Armenia prefers destructive pre-war political rhetoric.
According to the report, the Prime Minister of Armenia angrily declares that the Zangezur corridor is not a subject of negotiations, which means that Armenia openly refuses to fulfill the obligations set forth in the trilateral statement signed with the mediation of Russia.
According to the authors, in response to this, Azerbaijan should put on the political agenda the issue of the right of Azerbaijanis who were forced to leave Armenia to return to their homeland, ensure their safety and determine their status.
The NCST believes that the country's leadership can count on the disinterested support of society as a whole, including the political opposition, if it takes decisive steps that meet national interests, even if these steps may have possible consequences. -05D-
