Armenia slows down operations on opening of communications - Ilham Aliyev
Baku/26.04.22/Turan: The upcoming activities of the trilateral Russian-Azerbaijani-Armenian commission to open communications were the focus of the meeting between President Ilham Aliyev and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk in Baku on Tuesday.
According to the official report, Aliyev noted that 60 km of railroad is already under construction to connect the main part of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan. The works will be completed in 2023.
As for the automobile road, the works are on schedule here as well.
"Unfortunately, there is no work on the Armenian side. The Armenian side has still not defined coordinates of the highway through its territory. The Armenian side has never responded to Azerbaijan's numerous requests," Aliyev stressed.
During the meeting they also discussed issues of trade and economic relations, cooperation in energy, transit, financial and banking sector, and trade. -02D-
