Armenia threatens to use Iskander, forgetting about its own vulnerability
Baku / 29.09.20 / Turan: The Armenian Ambassador to Russia the day before threatened to use Iskander missiles if Azerbaijani troops entered the territory of Karabakh.
Today the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan stated that Armenia has no other choice but "to use long-range strike systems and destructive power", without specifying which ones.
It should be noted that the Iskander-E operational-tactical missile systems are in service with Armenia. Their firing range is 280 kilometers.
However, their shelling Azerbaijan from the territory of Armenia will endanger the Metsamor nuclear power plant and the capital Yerevan, about which Baku has already warned Armenia more than once.
The missile systems available to Azerbaijan make it possible to fulfill both tasks. There is no more that 60 km from the border of Azerbaijan to Yerevan. -02D-
