Armenia Urgently Strengthens Border with Zangelan, Gubadli and Lachin
Baku / 20.10.20 / Turan: On October 19, Nikol Pashinyan unexpectedly appointed the former head of the General Staff Artak Davtyan to be responsible for "defensive work in Syunik," the Armenian media reported. This decision was made after Prime Minister Pashinyan's visit to the region yesterday.
As reported by Arminfo, Artak Davtyan and the Governor of the Syunik region Hunan Poghosyan at the joint conference noted the importance of joint actions, without specifying what these "defensive works" are.
Note that Syunik is Zangezur, which borders on Zangelan, Gubadli and Lachin.
According to Russian sources, a significant number of Russian border guards have been transferred to the same zone, and they have begun to protect the border with Azerbaijan together with Armenian border guards.
All this testifies to the real progress of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Zangelan, Gubadli and Lachin, Russian experts say. -02B-
