Armenian Armed Forces Fire at Azerbaijani Positions on State Border
Baku / 03.11.20 / Turan: Units of the Armenian armed forces again fired at the positions of units of the Azerbaijan Army on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border with mortars and small arms, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said.
"On November 3, from 00:25 to 04:45 (03.45 Moscow time) from the territory of the Berd, Chambarak and Vardenis regions of Armenia, the enemy fired on the positions of our units located in the Tovuz, Gadabay and Dashkesan regions of Azerbaijan," the message says.
The Ministry of Defense also denied reports about the shelling of civilians by the Azerbaijani army in the cities of Shusha and Khojavend.
The Azerbaijani army does not fire at the civilian population and non-military infrastructure, the Defense Ministry said. -0-

On November 15, animal rights activist Kamran Mammadli was detained while staging a protest at the COP29 climate conference. Mammadli was protesting the shooting of street dogs in Azerbaijan. He raised a sign above his head that read: "Azerbaijani authorities are shooting dogs on the streets!" On November 15, the Baku Appeals Court heard the complaint filed by Ulvi Hasanli, the director of the Abzas Mediapublication, against Baku's pre-trial detention center -1 detention facility and the Penitentiary Service. The complaint concerns poor conditions of detention, inhumane treatment, and restrictions on Hasanli’s rights while in custody. Representatives from both institutions failed to appear in court.
