Armenian Prisoners Do Not Fall under Statement on November 10 - Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry
Baku/15.03.21/Turan: The Armenians in captivity are not prisoners of war who should be released as part of the trilateral statement on November 10, 2020. They were sent to Azerbaijan after the conclusion of the armistice and contrary to the statement of November 10, which implies the withdrawal of Armenian forces from Karabakh. However, after the signing of this document, the Armenian authorities sent over 60 servicemen there from the Shirak region of Armenia. These soldiers committed acts of sabotage, killing soldiers of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, and will be held accountable before the law.
This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Baramov at a joint briefing with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde. -0-
