Authorities refuse to sanction the rally of Musavat party
Baku / 10.01.19 / Turan: The Baku Executive Power refused to authorise the rally of the Musavat Party, scheduled for January 12, demanding the release of political prisoners.
The city administration considered the rally to be "inexpedient."
In turn, the party has declared a violation of the law on freedom of assembly by the Baku Mayor"s Office.
Musavat said it would continue the struggle to ensure fundamental freedoms, including freedom of assembly.
The rally on January 12 was to be held under the slogan: "Freedom to Mehman Huseynov and all the other political prisoners." -03D-
