Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Answers Armenian Foreign Ministry

Baku / 08/08/19 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry commented on the attempt of the Armenian Foreign Ministry to disavow the statement of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Khankendi, Nagorno-Karabakh is Armenia.

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry called the reaction of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs "chaotic and suffering from a lack of logic".

"We believe that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, which carried out armed aggression against Azerbaijan, m illegally using force to seize the Nagorno-Karabakh region of our country and the adjacent areas, which carried out continuous ethnic cleansing of the Azerbaijani population in these territories and committed the genocide in Khojaly, is the last in a row of entities that may try to accuse Azerbaijan of inability to follow the standards of civilization and decency and intolerance," the Foreign Ministry commented.

Baku rejects the claims of the Armenian Foreign Ministry that the Azerbaijani authorities are not able to understand the context and content of Pashinyan"s speech in Khankendi, dedicated to "unity, solidarity, development and prosperity for Armenia, Karabakh and the Diaspora."

"A similar clumsy explanation by the Armenian Foreign Ministry, following the Prime Minister of this country, is actually recognized in the annexation policy of Yerevan in relation to the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan."

"The demonstration by the Armenian side of such an inadequate approach that undermines the very logic of the negotiation process for a peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs is the cause of regional tension, the responsibility for which lies entirely with Armenia. That is what was said in the extremely clear statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on August 6, which, apparently, the Armenian Foreign Ministry was unable to understand," the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said. -06D--
