Azerbaijani Armed Forces servicemen suspected of accidental death of Russian peacekeepers have been detained
Baku/21.09.23/Turan:According to a TASS source in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the commander of the Azerbaijani armed forces corps, under whose command the individuals responsible for the tragic loss of Russian peacekeepers were operating, has been temporarily suspended from duty. Furthermore, the initial suspects linked to this unfortunate incident have been apprehended.
According to the source, "The commander of the corps of the Azerbaijani armed forces, whose subordinates are guilty of the death of servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, has been suspended from his duties. The first suspects in the crime have been detained."
This action comes in the aftermath of a deeply regrettable event on September 20, where five Russian peacekeepers lost their lives when their vehicle came under fire near the settlement of Janyatag in Nagorno-Karabakh.
