Azerbaijani Army Liberates New Important Territories, Heights - Ministry of Defense
Baku / 23.10.10 / Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported on morning battles in Karabakh and the liberation of new important territories and heights.
“During the day on October 22 and on the night of October 23, hostilities in the Agdere, Fizuli-Hadrut-Jebrail and Gubadli directions of the front continued with varying intensity. The enemy fired at the defensive positions of the Azerbaijan Army from small arms, mortars and cannons, ”the Ministry said in a morning press release.
As a result of the operations carried out by the Azerbaijani Army, serious blows were inflicted on the armed forces of Armenia in the Fizuli, Jabrayil and Gubadli directions of the front, several enemy strongholds were destroyed, and important territories and heights were liberated, the message goes on.
“Irreparable damage has been inflicted on the main resources and military infrastructure of the enemy along the entire front. In the enemy units, there is a shortage of military equipment, weapons and ammunition, as well as food. The enemy practically lost control of the troops. Due to the lack of regular army units to protect combat positions, civilians are forcibly brought in to replace them. It became known that the servicemen brought to Nagorno-Karabakh from the Tavush and Sisian regions of Armenia refused to engage in hostilities and left their positions,” the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry emphasizes.
At present, the fighting continues along the entire length of the front, the conclusion of the Azerbaijani military department says. — 06D-
