Azerbaijani-Turkish Military Exercises to Be Held
Baku / 22.04.19 / Turan: The Azerbaijani-Turkish tactical exercises Mustafa Kemal Ataturk - 2019 will be held in Azerbaijan on May 1-3. A solemn ceremony of meeting the personnel of the Turkish Armed Forces, who arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the exercises, took place on Monday, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan said.
The main goal of the exercises is to coordinate the interaction of the military units of Azerbaijan and Turkey through the development of joint plans, increasing the level of combat readiness of personnel and the development of skills to conduct joint operations.
The joint exercises will involve personnel, armored vehicles, artillery installations and mortars, combat and transport helicopters, as well as air defense units and anti-aircraft missile units of the armies of the two countries.
During the preparatory period, it is planned to hold a number of cultural events for the Turkish military. -06D--
