Azerbaijani Vice Prime Minister meets Iranian Vice President
Baku/20.10.22/Turan: Today in Baku, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Vice President of Iran, Chairman of the Environmental Protection Organization of Iran Ali Selajage discussed tyhe issues of developing bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
The parties noted the "high level of political dialogue" between Baku and Tehran, the "successful development of fraternal and friendly relations" in the political, trade and economic fields, transport, transit, energy, culture , environment, etc., the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.
Mustafayev and Selajage emphasized that the opening of transport communications in the region creates wide opportunities for cooperation. The parties noted the importance of joining the efforts of the Caspian states to solve the environmental problems of the Caspian; and also expressed concern about the pollution of the Araz River by Armenia. In this regard, the parties stressed the need for joint efforts to protect the environment of the river. ----06B----
