Baku expects Russian Foreign Ministry to correct distorted information about Turkmenchay treaty
Baku/23.02.22/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry expressed "surprise and regret" due to the publication of distorted information on the Turkmenchay treaty of 1828 on the official page of the Russian Foreign Ministry, exactly on the day of signing of the Declaration on Allied Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stressed that the phrase "Eastern Armenia" was never mentioned in the text of the Treaty of Turkmenchay, and of course, this fact is well known to the Department of Historical Documents of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
