Baku rejects Armenian Foreign Ministry
Baku / 28.08.20 / Turan: The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry rejects Yerevan's accusations of violating the rights of the Armenian officer Gurgen Alaverdian.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's comments remind that Alaverdyan was captured on August 23 on the front line while attempting to sabotage.
The captured officer admitted that the group acted on the orders of the command of the Armenian Armed Forces and had clear goals.
In recent days, the Armenian Armed Forces have increased the intensity of reconnaissance operations in various sectors of the front, including the use of drones.
This gives reason to believe that the Armenian side is preparing another provocation in order to aggravate the situation again.
"The unfounded and delusional accusations against Azerbaijan are an attempt to divert the attention of the international community and the Armenian society from the failures of its adventurous military policy," the statement of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
