Caucasus Muslims Department disassociated itself from anti-Western and anti-Israeli calls made in Marneuli /UPDATED/
"Ali Aliyev is not the representative of the Caucasus Muslims Department in Georgia since 1 January 2023. All the statements he made at the Marneuli rally are his personal position and have nothing to do with the position of the CMD." Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazadeh's representative told Turan Agency, commenting on reports of anti-Israeli rally in the Azerbaijani-inhabited region of Georgia.
"On the issue of Palestinian-Israeli relations, the CMD supports the position of the Azerbaijani government. As for akhund Haji Hajiyev, this person has nothing to do with the CMD.
At present, Mammad Shamilov and Sabir Musayev are the CMD representatives in Georgia," the Caucasus Muslims Department emphasised.

Representative of Muslim Board called US and Western countries as terrorist countries?
Baku/01.11.23/Turan: A rally in support of Palestine was held in Marneuli (Azerbaijani-inhabited district centre of Georgia) on 31 October.
According to Georgian media, the rally was addressed by Akhund Haji Hajiyev, the head of the Red (main) Mosque, and Ali Aliyev, a representative of the Caucasus Muslims Department in Georgia.
Akhund Hajiyev called "silence around the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip as a sign of support for Israel". According to him, the people gathered to "raise their voices against the Zionist Israeli regime", against tortures of the "oppressed Palestinian population".
For his part, Ali Aliyev of the Caucasus Muslims Department called Israel, the US, Germany, Italy, France, the UK, NATO and EU member states as "terrorist states".
"Israel's crimes in Gaza are condoned by the number 1 terrorist countries in the world - the US, European countries, NATO, Germany, Italy, France, Britain - they committed these crimes together not only in Palestine, Gaza, but also for many years in Iraq, Arabia, Syria, Yemen, Libya. They are the most powerful terrorists in the world," Aliyev said, calling the US President "the head of imperialism".
It has to be kept in mind that the Caucasus Muslims Department is located in Baku and is headed by Sheikh Allahshukur Pashazadeh. If reports about the statements voiced at the Marneuli rally are confirmed, it contradicts the position of official Baku and Tbilisi.
In such a case, Georgia's numerous Azerbaijani diaspora may be involved in a campaign of confrontation with Western countries, which is in the interests of Iran, Russia and radical Islamic regimes.
The Caucasus Muslims Department has not yet expressed its attitude to the rally in Marneuli and the calls made there. -0-
