CEC may cancel registration of Faraj Guliyev and Mehman Huseynov - source
Baku / 03.02.20 / Turan: In connection with an audio recording indicating an attempt to bribe one candidate for deputy, it is necessary to contact the District Electoral Commission. There are signs of a serious violation of the law. A source at the CEC said this to Turan on condition of anonymity, commenting on the audio recording made by blogger Mehman Huseynov.
On this record, his rival in the parliamentary elections of the parliament of the previous convocation Faraj Guliyev offers him money for removal from the election.
The case should be investigated by the prosecutor since there is a criminal offense. At the same time, the source said that ultimately the registration of both candidates might be canceled, since both parties are responsible.
However, what steps will be taken, the source did not predict in advance.-05D-
