Civil Society Platform (CSP) will hold a hearing on the issue of blocking international law in Azerbaijan
In April a Civil Society Platform (CSP), uniting 26 prominent representatives of independent non-governmental organizations and the media, will hold a special discussion on the issue of ignoring the opposition by the authorities of Azerbaijan and international law obligations.
The government consistently does not implement the provisions of international instruments, as well as obligations to the Organization, which Azerbaijan has joined. In addition, they openly ignore decisions of the European Court of Human Rights Committee of the United Nations, said a member of the Platform lawyer Alasgar Ahmadoglu.
In all areas, including human rights, freedom of expression NGOs, the law has been tightened as much as possible, and is contrary to the country's constitution and internationally accepted rule of law, he said.
The CSP considers unacceptable and inappropriate attempts to enactment by Parliament, which limits the execution of decisions of intergovernmental bodies for the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, and is going to oppose this step, which is contrary to the interests of society. -0—
