Construction of Church in Jabrail Armenias Provocation
Baku / 05.10.17 / Turan: Armenia violates the norms of humanitarian law, and its actions contradict the basic principles of Christianity and the teachings of the Gospel. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, commenting on the construction of a Christian church by Armenia in the Jabrail district of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia.
As Hajiyev noted, the construction of a church in Jabrail, where Armenians never lived, is an attempt to deliberately add a religious color to the conflict.
"The special diligence of Armenian religious figures in this process, which is illegal and far from religious values, is deeply regrettable. Such actions carried out by Armenia and the Armenian Church not only contradict international humanitarian law, but also do not correspond to the Gospel and the basic principles of Christianity, which like other celestial religions teaches peace, respect for the property of others and avoidance of aggressive actions," Hajiyev said.
He stressed that the issue in connection with this provocative action of Armenia will be raised in the framework of international organizations. -05D06--
