Decisions of The International Court of Justice of UN on Armenia and Azerbaijan
Baku/07.12.21/Turan: On December 7, the International Court of Justice of the UN ruled on interim measures in two cases: "Armenia against Azerbaijan" and "Azerbaijan against Armenia".
In the first case, the court called on Azerbaijan to protect from violence all persons detained in connection with the 2020 conflict who remain in custody, to ensure their safety and equality before the law.
The court also called on to prevent racial hatred and discrimination on the part of officials and state institutions against Armenians and to take all measures to protect the Armenian cultural heritage.
In the second case, the court ruled that Armenia should take all measures to prevent incitement and propaganda of racial hatred by organizations and individuals against Azerbaijanis.
The court also rejected Armenia's demand for the release of prisoners of war and the closure of the Trophy Park in Baku.
