Defense Minister receives new commander of Russian peacekeepers
Baku/12.09.23/Turan: On September 12, the commander of the Russian Ground Forces, Army General Oleg Salyukov, presented to Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov the new commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily stationed in Azerbaijan, Major General Kirill Kulakov.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Zakir Hasanov noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia is based on friendly relations and mutual trust.
Speaking about the situation in the Karabakh region, Hasanov stressed that the number of provocations committed by illegal Armenian armed formations has increased recently.
In turn, the commander of the Russian Ground Forces Salyukov noted that bilateral relations have historical roots, and the two countries are strategic partners. ---03---
