The publication referred to sources in the Ministry of Defense. However, a day later, the paragraph on the number of dead and wounded was deleted. However, on the Internet, the original text remained in the archives.
“According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, during the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces lost 9861 people killed, 16153 people were injured,” the article said. Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation provided information about those killed only once - on March 2. Then it was reported about 498 dead.
