E. Abdullayev lectures the British minister
Press Service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry represented by Elman Abdullayev turned to the official London calling "to refrain from undue interference in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, and spend their efforts to improve human rights in his country." These words by Abdullayev are quoted by pro-government media of Azerbaijan, as a response to the statement of the official Baku for the British Minister for Europe David Lidington. The day before he condemned politically motivated and falsified verdict against civil activist from Ganja Hasan Huseynli.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that no one in Azerbaijan is persecuted for his political views, and he regards the words by Lidington as 'indicator' of Britain's attitude to the rule of law.
Abdullayev said that the UK government is manipulating democratic values, it was repeatedly criticized for the lack of conditions for free ships, torture, opacity legislatures, mass surveillance of citizens on the Internet and telephone tapping, violation of privacy, slavery, racial discrimination, violation of immigration laws, etc. -02D-
