"Economic zone of the Araz Valley" is being created on the border with Iran
Baku/04.10.21/Turan: On Monday, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the creation of an industrial park "Economic Zone of the Araz Valley". It will cover the territories of Jabrail region.
Industrial enterprises in the field of processing with the use of modern technologies will be created in the industrial park. At the initial stage, 500 thousand manats will be allocated from the state budget for the creation of the park for 2021.
The specified territory was liberated from the Armenian occupation in the fall of 2020; it has a predominantly flat relief, which creates favorable conditions for the creation of an industrial park. The opening of a border and customs checkpoint in the south of the economic region - in the direction of the Khudaferin bridges - will also ensure the efficiency of the industrial park, the decree says.
In addition, the creation of a logistics center, various service and innovative industries, as well as enterprises for the production of building materials in the Jabrail region will help in the restoration of other liberated regions.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to allocate 200 hectares of land near the village of Soltanly in the Jabrail region within two months.
The ceremony of laying the industrial park was held today in the Jabrail region with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.
In addition, he took part in the groundbreaking ceremony of the joint service center of KAMAZ OJSC and the Ganja Automobile Plant in Jabrail.
Aliyev also took part in the opening of a number of facilities: the Jabrail substation and the complex of the military unit of the State Border Service. — 06D-
