Election of President of Azerbaijan Started
Baku / 11.04.18 / Turan: Presidential elections started in Azerbaijan on the morning of April 11. A total of 5,426 permanent and 215 temporary polling stations were opened in 125 constituencies, with 41 stations abroad.
The number of voters of the country, according to the Central Electoral Commission, is 5.2 million.
According to amendments to the Constitution introduced in 2016, the President of Azerbaijan will rule for 7 years, and not 5, as before.
The current elections are held against the backdrop of extreme passivity of the population. -02D-
