Employees of the security service of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran awarded
Baku/03.02.23/Turan: By order of the head of state, three employees of the Security Service of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran were awarded state awards.
Tagiyev Vasif was awarded the Order of Courage of the first degree.
Orkhan Askerov with the medal "For the Motherland" (posthumously). The same award was awarded to Mahir Imanov.
On January 27, a terrorist armed with a machine gun broke into the embassy and opened fire. Orkhan Askerov was mortally wounded and died. Mahir Imanov was also wounded.
Vasif Tagiyev disarmed the terrorist, but also received a gunshot wound. ---02D---

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has expressed condolences to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, following the tragic incident in the city of Magdeburg. "We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
