EU is ready to expand ties with Azerbaijan – European Commissioner Oliver Vargeli
Baku/08.05.23/Turan: The European Union is ready for broad cooperation with Azerbaijan. European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Oliver Vargeli wrote about this on his Twitter account.
"It was a pleasure to meet with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayrmov in Budapest to discuss our strategic transport and energy projects. We are ready for further cooperation," he said.
In turn, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting on September 5, Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the level of bilateral relations. He spoke about Azerbaijan's initiatives to expand the "Middle Corridor – Trans-Caspian International Transport Route". He noted that the opening of all communications in the region, including the Zangezur corridor, will significantly strengthen cooperation in the region.
Bayramov also informed Vargeli about the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement process, negotiations on a peace treaty, Azerbaijan's steps to reintegrate the Armenian population, and Armenia's attempts to undermine the peace process. --16---
