Baku/15.01.22/Turan: In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the Istanbul bridge of Sultan Mehmet Fatih was painted in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag.
Turkey was the first to recognize the independence of Azerbaijan proclaimed in October 1991. In January 1992, diplomatic relations were officially established and the Consulate General of Turkey in Baku was given the status of an Embassy of this country.-O6B-
