Fighting Already Going on in Agdam Direction - Defense Ministry
Baku / 21.10.20 / Turan: During the day on October 21 and on the night of October 22, hostilities in the Agdere-Agdam, Fizuli-Jabrayil and Zangilan-Gubadli areas of the front continued with varying intensity. The enemy fired at the defensive positions of the Azerbaijan Army from small arms, mortars and cannons, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a morning message.
As a result of the operation carried out by the Azerbaijani Army in the Gubadli direction of the front, the defending units of the Armenian armed forces, having suffered losses in personnel and military equipment, were forced to retreat from important heights and a number of positions.
There are many wounded among the personnel of the D-20 battery of the 155th artillery regiment of the Armenian armed forces, occupying positions in the Khojavend direction of the front. It became known about the lack of vehicles for the evacuation of the wounded and the closure of roads.
The volunteers, recently delivered to the enemy artillery units located north of the settlement of Hadrut, left their firing positions and fled.
As a result of the artillery shelling of the 5th Mountain Rifle Regiment in the Agdere direction, the enemy suffered numerous casualties in killed and wounded in manpower. The commander of the 3rd battalion of the regiment, Robert Hambardzumyan, went missing, and the chief of staff of the battalion was destroyed. As a result of the disabling of an underground shelter, there was a significant loss of enemy personnel.
As a result of fire damage to the defensive sector of the 543rd regiment, there are significant losses among personnel. The regiment commander was wounded, his deputy, battalion commander Arayik Hovakimyan and his deputies, the commanders of the mortar battery and the company were destroyed. The personnel of one of the companies of the 1st battalion refused to join the battle.
Currently, hostilities continue along the entire front. Azerbaijani troops are in control of the operational situation. — 06D-

The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
