Baku/31.07.20/Turan: The Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) reported on the administrative arrests of five members of this opposition organization.
Babek Muradov, Yashar Kerimov and Emin Farhadov were arrested for 30 days under the Articles 211.1 (violation of the quarantine regime) of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO).
Elnur Guliyev also received 30 days, and Feiruz Rahimov - 15 days of arrest. However, it is not yet known on what articles of the Administrative Code they were arrested.
Muradov, Guliyev and Rahimov were detained on July 30, two other activists on July 28.
The Popular Front Party also reported on the arrest on July 30 of two more activists Elnur Jabbarly and Mushvig Guliyev.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was unable to receive comments.
After the rally on July 14-15 in Baku in support for the liberation of Karabakh, more than 40 PFPA activists were detained.
Sixteen of them were charged with criminal charges, another 18 were administratively arrested for up to 30 days. Some of the detainees were released. –21B06-
