For the first time in polls, Kocharyan overtook Pashinyan in popularity
Baku/11.06.12/Turan: The results of a public opinion poll conducted today in all regions of Armenia and in the capital from June 7 to 10 by the Gallup International Association showed that for the first time in the election campaign, former President Robert Kocharian is ahead of the acting ... Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
A total of 1103 respondents were interviewed.
If the elections were held on Sunday, June 13, then 24.1% of respondents who took part in the poll are ready to vote for Robert Kocharian's Armenia bloc, and 23.8% for Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party.
The third place is taken by Artur Vanetsyan's "I Have the Honor" bloc, 7.4% of voters are ready to vote for him. The rest of the parties gained from 3.7 to 0.8%.
53.9% of the respondents will vote in the elections, 10.3% are likely to take part in the voting. 12.8% would rather not take part in the elections, 22.7% would not go to vote, and 9.2% of those polled noted that they would vote against everyone.
61.7% of respondents called the internal political situation in the country tense, 26.6% - rather tense.
When asked to rate his attitude towards political and public figures on a scale from 1 to 5 (in ascending order), Nikol Pashinyan earned 2.5 points in his personal rating, Robert Kocharian - 2.3 points.
Earlier, N. Pashinyan's pre-election rating fluctuated around 30%, significantly outstripping R. Kocharian in popularity.
In Armenia, it is believed that video evidence of the inappropriate storage of the corpses of Armenian soldiers in the morgue inflicted a significant blow on Pashinyan's election campaign.
Extraordinary parliamentary elections will be held in Armenia on June 20, 26 parties and political blocs are taking part in them. -0-
