France Violates Mandate of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair - Hikmet Hajiyev
Baku / 11.11.20 / Turan: Official Paris, contrary to its mandate as the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, makes one-sided biased statements on Karabakh. This is stated in the commentary of the aide to the President of Azerbaijan, Hikmet Hajiyev.
"In accordance with its mandate, France should be neutral, but it openly pursues a pro-Armenian policy and brings up completely unfounded accusations against Azerbaijan.
France did not play any role in the adoption of the joint statement of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia and, apparently, is jealous of Russia's role in this issue. France is trying to be more Armenian than the Armenians themselves. It does not have the authority to speak on behalf of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, especially since Paris has not taken any steps to end Armenia's aggression,” he said.
In conclusion, he recommended correctly pronouncing the names of Azerbaijani settlements.
“I want to remind the official structures of France that the historic Azerbaijani city liberated from occupation is called Shusha, not Shushi,” Hajiyev said. -02D-
