French Foreign Ministry calls on Baku to respect the rights of Afghan Mukhtarly
Baku/09.27.19/Turan: A representative of the French Foreign Ministry at a traditional briefing in Paris on September 26 commented on a statement by Reporters Without Borders, calling on official Paris to express its attitude to the persecution of journalist Afghanistan Mukhtarly in Azerbaijan.
"France is committed to press freedom and freedom of expression all over the world. As mentioned in the European Union's recent statement at the opening of the OSCE HDIM on 16 September in Warsaw, France and its European partners carefully monitor the situation of journalist Afgan Mukhtarli.
France calls on the Azerbaijani authorities to respect Mr Mukhtarli's rights." -02B-
