Fuad Gahramanli: Azerbaijanis controlled by Stalinist methods
On Thursday the Baku Serious Crimes Court at the trial in the "Nardaran case" continued testimony of the accused. The deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party (APFP) Fuad Gahramanli harshly criticized the authorities, saying about the usurpation of power in the country. Azerbaijan is controlled by Stalin's methods, and it is a nationwide hatred of the authorities, he said, expressing his protest against the accusations of anti-state activities. "The state is sacred for us: the state and the power of different concepts," said Gahramanli. Those who have power see the state as a source of personal enrichment. "I was arrested for my thoughts. Such a shame does not take place even in Mozambique," said Gahramanli.
* In the course of a special operation in Nardaran on November 26, 2015 , six people were killed in the crossfire, including two policemen. Total in this case about 70 people were brought to trial , mostly members and supporters of the "Muslim unity" Movement. They are accused under a number of Articles of the Criminal Code: attempt to forcibly change the constitutional system, the creation of an organized armed criminal group and others. Currently, in the Serious Crimes Court in Baku are considered cases of 18 accused. Among them was the deputy chairman of APFP Fuad Gahramanli, who is accused of anti-state calls, inciting religious hatred, in calling for riots.
