Azad Jafarli
Head of the State Service for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture appointed
Baku/22.02.21/Turan: On 22 February, the President of the country signed an order on the appointment of Azad Jafarli (born 1978) the head of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.
Until now, Jafarli worked as the deputy head of this State Service and acted as its head.
He started his career in 1999 as an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, in 2004-2008 worked in the Geneva office of Azerbaijan in the UN, was the head of the international department of the ASAN service, and then the chief of the ASAN staff.-0--

The health condition of activist Nijat Ibrahim has sharply worsened while he remains in Baku's Detention Center No. 1, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan news agency.
