Heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service of Georgia arrived in Dmanisi
Baku/17.05.21/Turan: The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vakhtang Gomelauri and the head of the State Security Service Grigol Liluashvili arrived in Dmanisi, where 16 clashes began between Azerbaijanis and Georgians-Svans.
“All those who violate the law will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. This is a very bad fact and some forces are trying to turn the conflict into an interethnic one. Azerbaijanis and Georgians are our citizens. This issue should not develop into ethnic confrontation," Vakhtang Gomelauri said.
An investigation has been launched into the incident and appropriate measures are being taken, the minister said. He did not confirm the fact of the detention of the instigators of the fight - the Svans.
Meanwhile, other sources reported eight detainees. -02D-
