Hunt for Corrupt Officials Continues, Now in Ganja
Baku / 24.08.20 / Turan: The Anti-Corruption Department of the Prosecutor General's Office has been conducting an operation in the executive branch of Ganja since Monday morning. According to preliminary data, there are detainees among the officials. According to local sources, the building has been cordoned off by the police. The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office does not comment this yet.
Apparently, events will develop according to a proven scheme - the head and his deputies will be arrested, the public will be shown lists of bribe collection, cash from safes and sincere confessions of officials on camera, as they collected tribute from government agencies and businessmen.
Until now, similar operations by security officials have been carried out in a dozen of the country's executive authorities and ministries. -02D-
