Ilham Aliyev and Toivo Klaar discuss the situation at the border
Baku/14.09.22/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Special Representative of the European Union for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klaar.
Klaar expressed concern about the tension that arose on the state border on the night of September 12-13, and noted that the EU leadership had telephone conversations with the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan, the President's website.
Aliyev, for his part, said that the reason for the aggravation is a large-scale provocation by the Armenian side, and all responsibility for this lies with the political and military leadership of Armenia.
Azerbaijan supports the peace agenda in the continuation of discussions on August 31 in Brussels with the participation of the leaders of the two countries and the head of the EU Council, Charles Michel.
He pointed out that despite the necessary steps taken by Azerbaijan to stabilize the situation and eliminate tensions, Armenia continues to violate the ceasefire. --06B--
