Ilham Aliyev Calls on Asian Development Bank to Finance Non-Oil Sector
Baku / 23.06.18 / Turan: The issues of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) were discussed at a meeting of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, with the ADB Board of Directors on Friday.
Aliyev noted the participation of ADB in financing a number of infrastructure projects in the country.
A member of the Board of Directors, Kshatrapati Shivaj, praised the implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor project, which is also financed by ADB.
According to him, the purpose of the visit of the bank's delegation is to study the needs of the country's economy, determine strategic directions for strengthening the effectiveness of banking activities, the bank's strategy for 2019-2023 and the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and ADB.
In turn, Ilham Aliyev invited ADB to also participate in the projects of Azerbaijan's non-oil sector. -02D-
