Ilham Aliyev Congratulates People on Novruz
President Ilham Aliyev addressed the Azerbaijani people with the message on the occasion of Novruz Holiday.
"The Spring Holiday, due to its inexhaustible renewing power, even in the most difficult times of our history, let us look with unflagging faith in the future. Retaining the ideology of self-consciousness of the Azerbaijani people, it played an important role in the fact that by the end of the last century, we regained our ideal of national statehood," the statement says.
Novruz has received the status of an official holiday and is celebrated as the national festival in the Country of Flames experiencing its twenty-fifth spring, which is one of the achievements of independence, the address further notes.
"I wish our compatriots, who are closely united in the light of the Azerbaijanism ideology and meet the holiday with us outside the country, well-being, serenity and optimism. Let this holiday, which is a symbol of our solidarity, bring a good mood to every home and present a lot of joy and abundance to every hearth," Aliyev concluded. -06D-

The government of Azerbaijan will finance four projects in the Ukrainian city of Irpin, which is being rebuilt after its liberation from occupation, the city’s head, Oleksandr Markushin, said on Facebook following a meeting with Hikmet Hajiyev, the assistant to the Azerbaijani president for foreign policy, on October 2.
