Ilham Aliyev led a memorial march in honor of those killed in the Patriotic War
Baku/27.09.21/Turan: The head of the state together with his wife led a thousands-strong procession in Baku with portraits of those killed in the Second Karabakh War.
A column with portraits of 3.000 dead soldiers and civilians of Azerbaijan walked from the Azneft square along seafront to the Trophy park. Note that foundations of the Patriotic War Memorial Complex and the Victory Museum were laid there as well. -02B-

Speaking at the opening of the Victory Park in Baku, Aliyev described the war as a "glorious story" and a "brilliant victory" in which Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity after decades of occupation.
