Ilham Aliyev made a trip to the Jabrayil region
Baku/04.10.23/Turan: Today, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited the Jabrayil region.
The head of state participated in the laying of the villages of Khudaferin, Shukurbeyli, and the village of Khorovlu.
The President also took part in the opening ceremony of the "Jabrayil" power plant of JSC "Azerenergy".
In addition, Aliyev got acquainted with the construction of Auto Leasing Azerbaijan LLC in the Araz Valley Economic Zone Industrial Park. The foundations of the enterprises of JSC "Holcim Azərbaycan", JSC "Az-Tex-Import", LLC "Improtex Qarabağ Sənaye Kompeksi" were laid in the same industrial zone.
The president attended also the ceremony of laying the foundation of the secondary school named after the academician Mehdi Mehdizade for 960 students places. ---06B---

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
