Baku/13.02.16/Turam: In the framework of participation in the Munich Security Conference, President of Azerbaijan met with the US Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, Marcel Lettre.
The parties noted successful development of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, according to presidential press service. It was pointed out that in a number of areas relations are on the partnership level. The parties noted the good prospects for the development of cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.-06D—

On February 13, the Appeal Court did not satisfy the defense's appeal against the decision of the Khatai Court regarding the arrest of journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi. According to the lawyer, the journalist herself did not participate in the trial due to poor health. The defense intends to submit a petition to replace the arrest with house arrest.
