Ilham Aliyev: Personnel change will continue
Baku / 04.12.19 / Turan: The events of October-November and the international forums and events held in the country showed the high the image of Azerbaijan in the world, stated by President Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday at a meeting with the new heads of Naftalan and Hajikabul.
“Personnel reforms in the country will also continue. The first steps in this direction have already given results and aroused great enthusiasm among the population,” he said.
The head of state called on the newly appointed officials to justify the confidence and contribute in every way to the ongoing reforms.
“Officials should not consider their posts as a source of revenue. They must serve the people,” he said.-21D-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
