J. Bayramov informs UN Secretary General of Armenia's undermining of stability in the region
Baku/08.01.21/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov sent a letter to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, where he informs about Armenia's actions to "destabilize the situation in the region in violation of international law, and a trilateral statement of November 10".
After the trilateral statement signed on November 10, Baku began large-scale work on restoration and reintegration in all regions affected by the conflict, according to the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. However, the Armenian Armed Forces resorted to sabotage actions in the Khojavend region. Asa result of anti-terrorist operation, 62 citizens of Armenia, members of a sabotage group, were detained. “This testifies to a gross violation by Armenia of the principles of international law and its obligations under a joint statement,” the message says.
The letter calls on to take measures to prevent such actions by Armenia aimed at destabilizing the situation. The important role of the UN in supporting the implementation of the joint statement of November 10 is emphasized. -06D-
