Journalist Elnara Gasimova detained in Abzas Media case
On January 13 after questioning at the Baku City Police Department, journalist Elnara Gasimova was detained as a suspect, lawyer Bahruz Bayramov told Turan.
According to him, she was accused on Art. 206.3.2 (smugg committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
Gasimova was charged in the framework of the criminal case of Abzas Media journalists who were arrested before.
Gasimova denies the accusation and connects it with her professional activities, the lawyer noted. The journalist faces a sentence of imprisonment from 5 to 8 years.
Gasimova became the sixth journalist and media worker arrested on the Abzas Media case.
From November 20 to December 14, Ulvi Hasanli, director of «Abzas Media», Sevinj Vagifgyzy, editor-in-chief, activist Mohammad Kekalov, who collaborated with the publication, as well as journalists Nargiz Absalamova and Hafiz Babaly, were detained and arrested.
All are accused of smuggling currency. The journalists reject the accusations and link their criminal prosecution to the anti–corruption investigations of «Abzas Media».

Европа и Штаты давно Ильгаму об этом сказали. Он выбрал Путина, Эрдогана, Орбана и Вучича. Международный альянс автократов. Санкций он пока не боится так как недавно спрятал свое бабло в банках Эмиратов
