Vitaly Balasanyan.
Baku/04.02.21/Turan: "The authorities of Karabakh are organizing professional units on a contractual basis to protect our borders," Vitaly Balasanyan, secretary of the "Security Council of Karabakh", told local television. Thus, he indirectly confirmed the rumors that the Karabakh army will be disbanded.
Commenting on the claims that the Azerbaijani population will return to Khankendi and Khojaly, Balasanyan said these were rumors. However, he made a remarkable observation that this will not happen soon.
Thus, the information of the Armenian opposition that Nikol Pashinyan and Arayik Harutyunyan agreed to dissolve the “Karabakh Armed Forces” is beginning to be confirmed. It should be noted that last week the leader of the separatists, Harutyunyan, visited Moscow, where he met with Russian security officials.
Upon his return, he made a statement that Nagorno-Karabakh cannot have any status within Azerbaijan. -02D-
