Baku /25.11.22/Turan: The meeting of the Foreign Ministers and transport ministers of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey on Friday in Aktau ended with the adoption of the Roadmap of the Trans-Caspian Corridor.

The parties discussed and agreed on measures to accelerate the development of international transport routes and strengthen cooperation in the Caspian-Black Sea region, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Representatives of Kazakhstan stated the need to activate the transit and transport potential of the Caspian region and its infrastructural development. Concrete decisions were proposed to increase the potential of the Trans-Caspian Corridor.

As a result of the event, the parties signed a roadmap to eliminate problems and develop the "Middle Corridor" for 2022-2027.

The implementation of the agreements will make it possible to increase the throughput capacity along the Trans-Caspian corridor from the current 1.5 million tons to 10 million tons of cargo per year by 2025, the report says. ----02D----
