Key U.S. Officials Set To Testify Before Congress Over Future of Nagorno-Karabakh
Washington D.C./11.11.23/Turan: Key Biden administration officials in charge of Caucasus policy will next week testify before the Congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs on the future of Nagorno-Karabakh, TURAN's Washington correspondent reports.
James O’Brien, assistant secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs and Dr. Alexander Sokolowski, USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator for Europe and Eurasia, are set to testify at an open hearing of the Subcommittee on Europe on Wednesday Nov 15.
The event, chaired by Congressman Thomas H. Kean, Jr (R-NJ), will be available via live webcast on the Committee website at https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/: Additional witnesses may be added, according to a hearing notice issued by Chairman Kean.
O’Brien is currently visiting Paris, where he is poised to meet Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan today to discuss the conflict and other regional challenges.
